Don't lose sight of the real issues!
The Republican strategy is to force the pregnancy thing to the front to obfuscate. They want to take attention away from Palin's earmarks, her investigation, her former associations and her lying about the Bridge to Nowhere. Do not fall onto that trap. They will continue to focus on her family "doing the right thing" as I overheard on TV this morning.

Do not let them make the pregnancy the main issue. Forget about Bristol and focus on everything else.

1. Hear hear! Who needs to cloud the issues with her kids when she's taking a star off our flag?

2. exactly. she's into obstruction of justice, cronyism, religion instead of science
I don't think that delivers the change we need. it's more of the same. just like with McCain.

We need to get rid of McCain/Bush/CHeney/Palin.

VOte for Obama/Biden

3. Yes and no. The Palin selection is a vivid illustration of McCain incompetence . . .
Writ large. The longer schtuppgate stays at the forefront, the less time McCain has to recover from this disaster, whatever recovery program he picks.

Obama and Biden can go around the country, motivating tens of thousands of voters at a whack, smoothly demonstrating muscular competence, while the 'Licans wrestle with questions swirling about whether the daughter got inseminated in the Executive Igloo or in the back seat of a snowmobile.

Meanwhile, Palin is *still* a profoundly unqualified far-right nutjob, and the longer she's on the ticket the deeper the 'Licans sink into the quicksand.

I swear, Palin must be a crypto-democrat.

4. well put. it's almost like we don't want to believe our good luck of a bland GOP nominee
is now being multiplied with an amateur trying to take on the role of VEEP. And now she throws off daily bits of news that reinforce for anyone paying attention how horrible of a choice she really was.
