To any Republicans reading DU, regarding Sarah Palin:
If your candidate cannot face a few tough remarks on some liberal blogs, how can she be expected to face Al Qaeda, Iran or Russia?

21. I love the "Alaska is next to Russia!" bit
Alaska's actually near Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

Basically Russia's version of an Indian reservation. The main feature of the Okrug? Elgygytgyn Lake

Betcha can't say that one five times.

15. I hadn't noticed anything like that
But I don't read much Republican literature.

Even if they are, what does that have to do with whatever Palin herself was supposed to do or not do?

have been on the warpath about DailyKos, wonkette and others and how their comments about poor Sarah Palin are mean.

19. I ask one more time, what does that have to do with the question posed in the OP?
"If your candidate cannot face a few tough remarks on some liberal blogs, how can she be expected to face Al Qaeda, Iran or Russia?"

What prompted the question? I don't watch teevee all day like some DUers. Help me out here!

23. well, that is my question
Guys like Scarborough, O'Reilly, etc, get their marching orders from Rove and company. If they shrieking about some posts on DailyKos and Wonkette, it means that somebody told them to start lambasting liberal blogs in order to put Obama and other Democrats on the defensive and to get the liberal blogs to lay off Palin and take the heat off of her.

So, the point is, that if Republicans are up in arms over a few blog posts questioning Palin and demanding Obama denounce them, what will happen when she has to deal with real issues, like Al Qaeda, Russia and Iran? Are Fox & Friends going to demand Ayman al-Zawahiri stop criticizing McCain & Palin?

It is also in response to what Fox said about Democrats not going on Fox News - I believe it was Roger Ailes that said that if Democrats are afraid to face Fox News, how can they face Al Qaeda?

To be beating up on her, what does that say about her ability to be a strong leader?
