That those in the Republican party who are still honest stewards of good government will stand up to the Religious Right and its attempt to hijack the presidency again. Palin is a Trojan horse chosen in secret and foisted on McCain in a plan to put her in after he is gone. I think there is a 50/50 chance he won't last a full term.
The anti-abortionists seem to think they are the heirs of the 19th century abolitionists and bombing a clinic is akin to John Brown's raid.
I dream that the convention will split over Palin's nomination and there is a walk out by them like the Dixiecrats of 1948. Let them have their Thurmond.
The party is standing at a crossroads and I think that some of its members don't want to go down a certain path.
For America's sake let's hope they have the courage to walk away from this mess.
