Let's hope Mccain doesn't drop Palin
Yes,this Is my point to people. All the stuff coming out on her and the fact she Is helping Obama's
bounce goes higher says to me we don't want her replaced. She may be the worst VP In my lifetime.
And actully helping Obama go up.Her pick makes Mccain look terrible and makes Obama look like good
judgement.Except on terrorism he now leads Mccain on the Issues. The way things are going If Obama
looks presidential In the debates and his ground game Is as good as during the primarys come
January we will have President Obama, and Vice President Biden. And as a added bonus Lieberman could
lose the chairmanship of the Homeland security senate committee with his seniority In the cacus.

1. Dropping Her Solidifies the Appropriate Meme

John McCain's judgement is flawed and not to be trusted. Don't beleive us? Then why did he FAIL at the very first test of his judgement?

2. Absolutely. If they drop her, not only is his run for presidency over, but the GOP will implode.
Fundies will jump ship in record numbers. They hardly trust McCain as it is. She is one of them and if McCain dumps her, the base is gone.

3. She needs to go...it'll make McCain look like more of a fuckup
and if he goes with his first instincts and names Tom Ridge or Joe Lieberman as running mate, he'll piss off the religious nutjobs so badly the GOP as we know it will fracture, perhaps irrevocably. And wouldn't that be a wonderful thing to watch?

Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 01:41 PM by shey1218
if she stays in some might get adjusted and start making up reason in their mind to keep her. she does know how to work their kind of crowd.

on the other hand if she gets thrown out now...it helps shed a heavier light on the BIG flop that mcain in judgement, etc. people will ifnd it harder to accept a second vp

just my thoughts

TODAY IS A GOOD TIME FOR HER TO GO

THE SOONER THE BETTER

5. he's screwed either way...
If he drops her, then it's just as Iwantanydem said: it makes it absolute that McCain messed up on the first and arguably most important decision of his hoped-for presidency. Whoever replaced Palin would have to go through the indignity of being known as the 2nd choice after the corrupt, baby-endangering, moose-eating beauty queen, and I'm sure many of the people who had been on the VP list would just send a big "fuck you" to McCain, and he'd be left choosing the president of a community college's Young Republicans. Hey, he'd have executive experience, to boot!

If he keeps her, and more and more shit comes up about her (we already have five or six career-killers, and it's only been four days!), there's just more fodder to use against McCain.

So, either way it's great for Dems. :woohoo:

6. My God, he continues to ignore getting free airtime, just saw his brush off of reporters
on CNN...is he that upset at his own choice that he refuses to defend her in a public forum?

7. Either way McCain takes a hit on judgment.
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 01:44 PM by RDANGELO
I think that it is a wash either way. If he sticks with her, you have the thought of her actually becoming Vice-President. If he replaces her, it accentuates the bad judgment even though you might then get a more solid vp. The damage is done.

9. McCain's in a lose/lose situation. Good. And I
can't wait until the Dems send Lieberman packing. Sold his soul and all he got for it was his ass kicked.
