Does anyone know? Did Palin know about her daughter's pregnancy
when she accepted the VP offer?

If so, did she think this wasn't going to come out? I think this says a lot about this woman. Most parents would do whatever was in their power to shield their children from things like this.

If she knew, the fact that she was willing to risk her daughter in this manner says a lot about her IMO.

2. I bet she didn't know....
Her own kids and parents didn't know she was pregnant until she was 7 months along. I just heard that her family didn't know she was the VP pick until they landed in Ohio. She told them they were there for a family reunion.

4. Well, I've heard of women who supposedly didn't know they were pregnant
until they gave birth!

At any rate, that tells me what kind of a person Palin truly is. And that makes her woefully unqualified for the VP position. :puke:

5. Doesn't matter. If she DIDN'T know, it doesn't paint her as a very attentive parent, does it?

7. With the blanket strategically placed, too!
I remember when I watched that for the very first time thinking how uncomfortable it would be to hold a baby in that position for any length of time.

And that was before I'd heard anything related to a pregnancy.

8. Yes, they knew. They said so.
Gov. Palin has extremely bad judgment. She is like Busholini & McClown; arrogant, simpleminded, & self absorbed.

9. Not necessarily -
Previous pictures of the girl seem to show a typical (for quite a lot of the larger boned northern european heritage girls) adolescent "poof belly", part of normal baby fat that is lingering on while the hip structure is developing for future pregnancies. Our sixteen-year old has the same look going on; if we didn't know better (she's on depo-prevera), we'd wonder if she was pregnant ourselves.

If the family didn't know about the pregnancy beforehand, all the publicity and speculation going on about "who's the momma" with the youngest would probably have scared the bejesus out of the girl enough that she would have broke her personal denial of the situation and either gone into a suicidal depression or thrown herself upon the mercy of her parents to make the problem go away somehow. Looks as if she chose the latter, which does say something decent about the trust factor in the family.

I feel for her; if she's anything like the average middle class teen (homeschooled or not), her "boyfriend" wasn't really "the one true love", but rather a hormonal crush gone awry, and now the family and her religion is going to stick her with not only a baby, but an equally irresponsible, ignorant young person for the rest of her life - or at least for the length of time momma is in the public eye. I've seen similar

Haele

10. She was taken out of school under the excuse of Mono for 5-8 months, so of course

she knew, and maybe in Palin's mind, the entire Alaska way of living and doing things should be completely acceptable to the rest of the US. She obviously lives in a bubble
