Disappointing

I'm at a Republican National Coalition for Life event Sarah Palin was supposed to appear at; she's cancelled. These are pro-life people rallied by her selection and it would have been an excellent, welcoming forum.

1. Uh-oh. Maybe she doesn't need to work on that speech after all
This is a natural fit for her ... Wonder why she didn't show up.

3. They're not letting her see the light of day.
Just watched a clip of Biden speaking in Florida today. I was thinking -- that's something we'll never see, McCain sending Palin out on her own to campaign.

13. If they want to attract Hillary supporters, they don't want her to appear at an anti-abortion rally
Remember FoxNews and their "pro-choice" graphics last week? They want the Right to think she is pro-life and pro-choicers to believe she's pro-choice.

19. I believe they've given up on the Hillary supporters switching to Palin.
The anti-abortion loons are the only constituency left for Palin. If she's not willing to talk to them, who is she willing to see?

21. I doubt that, actually. She seems to be a pretty good public speaker.
I don't think anyone is prepping her. Who would be qualified to do so? The people who prep Gramps?

I think she's sulking. She doesn't like to be criticized.

I've seen her speak on television and watched her on You Tube. She comes off as an airhead. She is the caliber of a local election candidate, the VP.

17. Apparently she can't handle criticism.
This is excerpted from an old opposition compilation that is posted on another thread:

Frontiersman Editorial: Palin Blamed Everyone But Herself. A Frontiersman editorial wrote, “The
mayor’s administration has been one of contradiction, controversy and discord. While she will blame
everyone but herself, we see mostly Sarah at the center of the problem.”

Critical Group Called on Palin to Meet with Them, She Said they Could Fax the Questions. In 1997,
a Wasilla group called Concerned Citizens asked Palin to appear before them to answer questions, but the
Frontiersman wrote, “she doesn’t intend to face the hostile group to answer their questions.” Her deputy
administrator said that the group could fax the questions and she would answer them then. 3/5/97]

Frontiersman Editorial Slammed Palin For Not Tolerating Dissent. A Frontiersman editorial wrote,
“Wasilla is led by a woman who will tolerate no one who questions her actions or her authority.”

Frontiersman Editorial: Palin Philosophy Is People Are Either With Her or Against Her. A
Frontiersman editorial wrote, “Palin continues to lose public faith sticking by her philosophy that either
we are with her or against her.”

35. Calm down, people. Palin isn't going to step down,
It's common for high profile politicians to skip events like this. They are full of the most disgusting of the disgusting, pro-birth crowd. Politicians like to pay lip service to the scum that attend these things, but they never want to take the chance of getting saddled with something inflammatory that one of the bomb throwers there might say.

With the media keeping their eyes on Palin, she's not going to take the risk of being exposed.
