Questions about Palin's Candidacy (And Not Just the Baby Thing Either..) a Smear? Really,Senator?
Okay, folks, I'm going to have an Olbermann, "Special Comment" moment, here, lol. :P But I can't help but to feel quite irritated about McCain's campaign and their obvious, blatant double standard. So here I go..

(this is mainly in reference to this article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080902/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_palin_politics, but is an all-around observation as well)

So, Senator McCain, it's okay for YOUR campaign to question Senator Obama's patriotism and that of his wife, while YOUR supporters participate in whisper campaigns about HIS true religious and political affliations (unlike the stuff that is on the RECORD about Palin, whom, by so many indications, you did not properly vet), but Senator Obama's campaign and his supporters can't question anything about your previously, widely unknown, clearly ill vetted VP choice? Hypocritical much? Sure, you cannot control everything your supporters say or do..just like Senator Obama can't sit by every one of his supporters' computers and control what they type or blog about. Sure, I don't think Palin's daughter's teenage pregnancy should be what the Obama campaign concentrates on as an issue (and it's not....we'd rather focus on the biggest problems of her candidacy, namely her relatively inadequacy to be a potential president should anything, God forbid, happen to you or you have to step down, therefore extinquishing your claims about Obama's qualifications, which you have appeared to be running on..), though it DOES raise questions about her arguably judgmental stance on choice, whether it be relative to abortion or even family planning (I hear she's even against birth control, even for married couples..). I guess people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones..

Yet, there are many more relavent things to critize her on too, believe or it not. Be thankful, Senator McCain, that Senator Obama's campaign has agreed to honor Bristol's privacy and honor (much unlike you and people of likemind did for Chelsea..or Jack or Emma Claire..) And you KNOW that if Mahlia or Sasha were old enough to have a similar situation happen to them, ALLL kinds of questions would be raised about the Obamas...ESPECIALLY by the very same people in the Right Wing that are defending the Palins..

*Rant over. But point remains*
