It seems we are all excited and into this race 100% now for Obama. I've been glued to DU for a week now. One thing that seems to happen...and it also happened back in 2006 is that people post something that makes no sense.
I saw today a post that says "OMG" and then said "CNN Shows Him Looking." What the hell does that mean?
A post just a minute ago said "KO Taking it to them. Go." What is he saying? What is he doing? Who's he going after?"
I read DU many times when I am not around a TV like in an airport or at a coffee shop. It is just very helpful when you post please make it make sense for all of us to enjoy.
Sorry for being on the soap box but this drives me batty.
Lot's of us post while we are glued to MSNBC/CNN/C-Span (none of us watch FOX) and we like to talk about what we see.
We love ya - we want everyone to feel included. Do what I do. If I don't understand something. or if I am not in a position to monitor something, I bookmark the thread and come back later.
I posted in real time but I always try to make sure I read what I am posting before I hit the Post button. Real time is good but it's useless if no one "gets" what the poster in saying.
5. Yeah, it drives me a little nuts. I don't have cable, so I'll NEVER hear what KO said.
I have to rely on the possibility that some kind soul will actually post a quote or summary so that I'll finally have a clue as to what they're talking about.
It just seems to me to be simple common sense -- if something really amazes you, and you have the urge to comment on it, then post something that contains at least a hint of what you're reacting to. Otherwise you're just being a noisy masturbator.
