C-SPAN -- Ken Mehlman -- What a sicko
This guy is their campaign manager?
I wonder how many children he scares?

Bush has moral clarity?

These repugs are sleeze. How can anyone believe anything they say?

3. Yeah, but we could learn something from him
He answers immediately, precisely and with no equivocation. He gives no ground and sticks to message with ultra-simple points in black and white, and he doesn't grant any virtue or sense to his opponents.

People want answers, otherwise so many people wouldn't flock to religion. The right gives them answers.

I fear that we may be in trouble if we don't seriously fight economic issues; the right has no compunction about saying that we're lazy, cowardly thieves, but somehow we have difficulty not being gentlemanly with them. We're not fighting for logical support or for the minds of thinking supporters, we're fighting for gut-level emotional comfort.

George Bush stands right up there and says that Kerry agrees that we should have attacked Iraq and that he's confirmed it recently. This is not within a country mile of what Kerry's saying (that in this situation the President should have had this authority as a bargaining chip and to put some reality behind our threats) but Bush will say it over and over.

We need to say that simple solutions don't work, and Bush only wants the simplest of solutions: crush things that defy him.

4. we have difficulty not being gentlemanly with them
About these lying bastards and their corporatist allies, I have neither
restrain, nor the constraints of gentlemanly nobless oblige.

The best of them deserve to be bitch slapped, and the worst should walk to the scaffold. I watched the extreme discomfort while a multiple speakers danced around the words they dared not say-- espionage, treason.

And I thought about the tens of thousands of Jewish New Yorkers who marched in the protest today, wondering what they were going to feel when they got home, and watched the re-broadcast of what the Republican Party presented as the authentic Jewish voice.

I mean, Damn! I only thought that the 'Hey hey, Joe-mentum' stuff was lame... I mean Joe could probably eke out a living doing the borcht belt, but these putzes... They could close a wake. I have never seen a less enthusiastic crowd, either. A room full of golem would be more convivial.

I suspect tomorrow there will be some hasty purchases of replacement TV's, with excuses that would do Woody Allen proud.
