John Edwards just lashed out at Bush for his new claim that Iraq has been a "catastrophic success."

Edwards said "I, like most Americans, have no diea what that means." hahaha.

you know who *! My local Dem radio host said something about Edwards last night. Said Edwards wasn't doing enough or wasn't being heard or wasn't stepping up...something like that. I thought he might be off a bit because I have seen Edwards at some events, at least.

The host did have me "wondering" for a minute though. So it's good to hear that Edwards is still packing a punch on the trail.

I thought it was Rumsfeld. Nevertheless, there actually is such a thing as "catastrophic success". It's when a business, for example, is successful beyond anyone's wildest dreams and it can't keep up with the demand for its product. I don't see how the term could be use for Iraq though.

Bush is quoted in there, and Edwards says, "he's half right..."

"Had we to do it over again, we would look at the consequences of catastrophic success, being so successful so fast that an enemy that should have surrendered or been done in escaped and lived to fight another day," Bush said.

So Bush just has no clue what "catastrophic success" means. That's what happens when he uses words with more than two syllables.
