...but check it out: even when we do try to hold their feet to the fire they just bluster, deny, elide, avoid or downright LIE. Look what happened when Campbell Brown tried to get a straight answer from Tucker Bounds re Palin's national guard decisions. She wouldn't give up, and eventually Bounds told her she was "belittling" the gov's accomplishments. Then the McCain campaign canceled an interview, citing CNN's "tactics".

This is how they play the game. We keep thinking that if the truth were right in front of them we could make them accountable for their actions. But time and time again they've proven that truth means nothing to them--they have no integrity.

Don't forget what Rove said to Ron Susskind: "You live in the reality-based community. We make our own reality."

I was out doing errands and briefly put on Rush Limbaugh to hear what the creep had to say. He was speaking of Leiberman's putting country over party and then went into how Democrats never did that and had no patriotism. He demanded people call on anything a Democrat ever did that was patriotic. (I guess he doesn't think the sacrifice Max Cleland made for his country counts - I know they said Kerry was injured enough in 2004. Yet they weren't there period.)
