Want to make DeLay's head explode my fellow Midwesterners?
I have just the sight for you to make him very nervous!!!

http://actblue.com/list/fullcourtpress

There are 13 candidates here. Please try to give any amount up to $65 dollars, than pass on the webpage link on to friends and family. If we can get 20,000 donors to give $65 dollars, we can change the face of the House race overnight.

I encourage others to create regional pages and send them out to groups. friends and familiy....because the repugs really do deserve an ulcer!

This week, the Republicans will be sending out every moderate they can dig up to try and convince the country that they are Democrats...but we know better.

While they are busy doing this, Republican members of the House will be raising cash to try and maintain control. As long as they consider their Democratic opponent weak, they will raise that cash and send it to competitive districts.

The DCCC is focusing on those races it can win and protecting Dem incumbents. This page is designed to focus on those House races in the Midwest where Gore won in 2000 or the Rep. Incumbent was under 60% of the vote in 2002. It also has a few odious members of the republican majority.

The purpose here is to keep these members hunkered down and spending cash in their own districts, rather than funneling money to the competitive districts.

Just like the full court press of basketball, we press the offense everywhere on the court in the hopes of causing a turnover....in this case, the Turnover of control of the US House.

These are the candidates I believe are most deserving, candidates with strong, sound stances, running in races where your dollars matter most. Please make a contribution to this critical cause.

Since the minimum contribution is $5 per candidate, feel free how to distribute your cash. But keep it small. Save the big bucks for the candidates you want to focus on...

1. The Mr. and I have been donating to Jane Mitakides.
Next paycheck that goes into the bank will probably get her some more. I don't believe she has a snowflake's chance of beating Mike Turner, but I'm damned if I'll let that stop me from donating to her camapaign and helping her try!

She got bumped up to the 'watch list' with the DCCC, so she's doing better than I'd hoped she would -- maybe she actually has a chance, I don't know. I really do think she's a great candidate.
