Kerry has a plan. He has to.
Things look a little depressing now, right? Well maybe this is how the Kerry camp planned it. They knew that the GOP would be taking the spotlight during the convention... this was an inevitable circumstance that would give BC a lot of press.... and Kerry has been saving his ad money until post-gop convention.

As as Zogby said: Kerry finishes well. Hes proven that in the primaries, and he seems to rise to the occasion... as he did with his acceptance speech.

I have to believe that there is a strategy that they will implement soon after the primary. I hope this strategy puts bush back on his heels... a place where he does more damage to himself than anyone else can.

Lets concede that bush will get a bump from the convention. Lets also understand that the DC has been planning this for a while. They know the stakes. Maybe Kerry has just weathered the storm so far, in order to bring all hell to BC in a couple weeks.

Just my theory... and a hopeful one at that.

1. Wrong on a couple of counts...
*Why do things look depressing? I think things look quite good right now.

*Who says that Bush will get a bump from the convention? I think that most voters are pretty sure of how they will cast their vote on November 2--the nation is polarized. There are very few people who have not chosen a candidate. Bush might get a point or two, but I wouldn't bank on it.

2. I think their new policy on Iran is great, it steals all of Bush's thunder
and points out ALL of Bushco's mistakes with Iraq.

Brilliant!

3. I don't know why the mood has changed so much...
in the past few weeks, but I agree it has. I think it was all the depressing Swift Boat battles and Vietnam revisited.

I agree, the Kerry Campaign must have some secret plan for reclaiming the momentum in the post-RNC political landscape, at least I hope that they do. They don't seem stupid enough not to.

For now, we just have to suck it up, keep supporting our guy, and keep the faith that the political strategists behind the scenes know what they're doing. :pals:

4. I hope you're right
but I have to admit feeling quite depressed at the moment. It seems to me that the dumber bush looks, the higher his numbers go...

5. Yea seriously...
it's like the worse the news is, the worse iraq or the economy gets, the more protestors there are, the more bushisms are born, the higher his poll numbers go! it makes absolutely no sense
