I think we need to get people to see "Bush's Brain"!

I had dinner with my in-laws over the weeken. They had been undecided up until a few months ago, and even then they weren't entirely convinced Bush was a bad guy.

Well, the change in their views since the last time we spoke was dramatic. They were very critical of Bush.

I brought up politics because I wanted to get their opinion on the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Right away, they told me had seen "Bush's Brain" a couple of weeks ago, and that it had really cast the commercials in the proper light. They mentioned Bush's smears on McCain from 2000, and said they knew Rove had to be behind the Swiftvets. They had nothing nice to say about Rove.

These are people who were largely unpersuaded by F-9/11. In fact, one of them was turned off by it.

From now on, I'm telling everyone I know to go see "Bush's Brain" before they make up their minds to vote for Bush. I wish this film was being more heavily publicized, because I think it has the power to change minds, especially coming on the heels of the sleazy swiftvet campaign.

My Father in law is a veteran, btw, and he thinks the swiftvet thing would not have convinced him, even if he hadn't known it was a Rove dirty trick. When I left he even said get "our guy" elected. He liked Bush in 2000.

It just hit theaters a week ago...link. (Or do they live in Houston/Dallas/San Antonio?)

I wholly agree, though, regarding the need for people to see "Bush's Brain." I've posted precisely the same thing a few times here on DU, in the past week, emphasizing the opportunity provided by the Swift Boat ads for "Bush's Brain" to have an additional educational impact.

I've even emailed the "info" link on the documentary's website begging them to take advantage of the Swift Boat smears for additional advertising, and am surprised we haven't seen anyone from the documentary on the news, discussing Rove's tactics.

NOTE: The DVD starts shipping September 24th. We need to coordinate some "F-9/11" and "Bush's Brain" viewing parties.

I'm so glad to hear the DVD will be out before November!! I will be buying some extra copies.

I haven't see the movie myself, but these aren't liberals. Open minded, yes, but middle of the road politically (McCain people). I was really shocked to hear how they were talking and how much they knew. I had expected that I was going to have to defend Kerry a little bit.

4. I bought a DVD of Bush's Brain online.

If we don't do something about KKKRove NOW, we are finished. The man is going to do whatever is necessary to get the fuhrer re-SELECTED....and our country, as we know it, will be GONE. KKKRove is to be feared by the left. He doesn't care HOW he wins an election....legal or not, ethical or not....it does not matter. John Kerry MUST see it.
