The real reason John McCain is palling up to Bush.
This is something I just thought of and I even heard this on the radio just now.

Could the real reason John McCain does not tell Bush to "F" off after all the dirty tactics to derail his 2000 presidential campaign is because McCain is trying to build up his party credibility to make another run in 2008?

Just a thought.

John

1. That hypothesis...
has value. McCain is a man of ambitions.

Also, perhaps something has been whispered in his ear, regarding SECDEF. After all, Rummy is looking shaky.

3. John McCain owns the Senate
He gets the most press coverage, and nothing passes without his approval.

He wants to keep it that way.

7. geez, I wish you'd rephrase that
to: "if there is a second shrub admin"

While I think he would be a fine Secdef, the first version shivers my timbers.

8. Absolutely. McCain WILL RUN in 2008.
I read it in a couple of those political gossip columns. And one person asked him outright and he himmed and hawwed and then they said, we'll do you still have presidential aspirations? And he answered, "the only cure for presidential aspirations is embalming fluid." Funny answer, but shows that he still wants it.

9. McCain is definitely planning another run for Pres.
There either was or is going to be a meeting between repukes with Pres. aspirations and the media covering the RNC this week. Head of the list, McCain. Heard this report on NPR yesterday morning.

11. possibly VP
the repugs may be so worried that they just might convince dick c. to drop out. this would open up the door for a new veep and also give him the inside track for 2008, that is if we have another election after this one.

13. McCain would be a fool to do so,
but I've considered him to be a fool for a long time, so he probably will do it.

If boosh gets into a second term, we all ought to know Jebbie will be heir apparent, especially if Cheney stays on the ticket. Cheney will be too old -- and too ugly -- to run by himself in 2008. The pukes will put up Jebbie, and he will be dutifully crowned King of America -- and then he will force the mountains in Arizona to be renamed. (Inside joke, never mind.)

McCain doesn't stand a chance. He'll be too old, and his health is not particularly good. Both the pukes and the Dems could put up a dozen more attractive choices, and "pretty" brings votes.

Fuck McCain. He's a lying stealing asswipe and doesn't deserve 1/10th the attention we're giving him. He's at best a distraction, like an accident scene on the highway that leads to another accident.

Keep your eyes straight ahead. Keep your eyes on the prize.
