OMG, my 5 year old and her friend just had this political conversationn:

Ava: "Me and my mom are voting for Obama".

Friend: "Me and my mom are voting for the other one."

Me: "McCain? Why are you and your mom voting for McCain?"

Friend: I don't know. (asking my daughter)
Why are you voting for him?

Ava: "Mo-Rock obama wants to have peace and not fight war. Do you want to fight war?"

Friend: "Fine, then I'm voting for O-rock Obama."

the colors they wore. Once, he didn't particularly want to play soccer in a game because he had a substitute coach. My mom asked him why. My nephew said, loudly, "I don't like the BLACK MAN!" My mom was horrified, but didn't know who he was talking about--until she realized the coach, who is white, was wearing all black. She almost died.
