Gen. McPeak bashes dumbya on recent Najaf situation.
It's about damn time. That was a travesty.

Freakin' killer of US troops (Al Sadr) is allowed to go free and is now getting ready to enter the political mainstream.

This is creating democracy in Iraq?

2. Najaf was a Cluster, But...
And Nazis with needed skills were allowed to enter into the US after WWII, with the blessings of the government

I don't think their hands were clean either.

Besides Iraq has an iterim government, the US troops are only there to provide security when requested, they do not control Iraq, they are puppets and cannon fodder, nothing more, as far as this current
administration is concerned.

Al Sadr has shown that it is he who can control the situation, not the Iraqi government, and not the US troops.

And as far as we know Al Sadr never fired a shot, his militia did the shooting.

Najaf was an example of what power Al Sadr can wield should he decide to go into politics, and if he's elected then it was the Iraqi people who freely voted to elect him, that's democracy in action.

We may not agree with how it's being done, but it's Iraq's choice.

4. Too Bad Stormin Norman won't come out of the closet
McPeak is great, but it would be nice for Norman to break his traditional silence (to our benefit of course)
