Kerry wants to "Reclaim our country from the Churchgoers".
I definitely don't disagree with this statement by Mr. Kerry but check this out:

FOUND THIS QUOTE FROM KERRY. THINK ABOUT WHAT HE IS SAYING. ESPECIALLY THE LAST LINE, "RECLAIM OUR COUNTRY FROM THE CHURCH GOERS". WOW!!!!!!!!!! HE WAS AT THE VIEWING OF REAGAN'S BODY IN CALIFORNIA.

"This moment in Simi Valley is a moment of truth," Kerry said. "Not just for my campaign, but for the future of my party as well. For some of us, this may be our only chance to confirm the demise of the man who is solely responsible for turning the American people away from liberal philosophy. As Democrats, we need to put small differences aside and be certain that this man is truly gone. Next, we must reclaim our country from the church-goers, the middle America folks and the uneducated conservative masses."

It was forwarded to me by my mother who got it from a Republican.

9. Puh-leeze
Anyone who believes Kerry is stupid enough to say something like this with even the slightest risk that it would be public must believe he is one brain cell shy of Shrub.

And email it to her list.

And ask her why her Republican friends need to lie in order to smear John Kerry.

12. It is a compilation of Right Wing talking points.
Liberal Philosophy as something they Republicans have stopped.

Church-Goers, Middle America and Conservative Masses as non-elite, common people, or enemies.

This is how the Right Wing wants people to THINK John Kerry and all Democrats think.

17. Do you think in common sense, would he really say somthing so dumb?
Kerry attends church also. I don't think anyone would be so stupid as to believe something could be true from anyone trying to get elected today.

23. Well, Kerry is a pretty avid Churchgoer himself
Having faith and going to church is a normal part of his life.

But Kerry is smart enough to recognize that Americans have many different religious beliefs and that quite a few of us are agnostics and atheists. I prefer a leader who wants to be President to ALL Americans, and not just a select few fundamentalists.

Bush uses his religion as a tool to get more votes. Not a very Christian thing to do, isn't it?

24. And don't foget, when you send them the Snopes.com
link, also ask them to think about what sort of person would make something like this up. And it has to be made up of course. It is not a misunderstanding. It was done with pure malice.

As I recall, Kerry was, if anything, too courteous when Reagan died. If he had made any such comment, it would have had its own commercial by now.
