Help make our best case for Kerry: Issue #1 National Security & Military

I hope this is the first in a series of threads on the issues facing our country. I'd like to challenge DUers to help document the case for John Kerry by highlighting several things on each of the major issues:

1) His past voting record & personal accomplishments relating to the issue
2) The Democratic Party's tradition on the issue and the party's accomplishments
3) John Kerry's and the Democratic Party's plan for the future on this issue

Because we are Democrats, I'd like to make sure that we document all of our claims with links to news sources, senate record, etc.

If we do this right, it could become a great series of emails to be forwarded out to everyone's personal network.
