Has anyone seen the podiums at the RNC?
There's 3. The center where the speaker is and the 2 smaller ones off to the sides of the bigger center one. They're made out of, it looks like different woods so they ahve a textured look. Check out the one on the left. The way the wood is placed makes the podium have a huge cross on it, base to top, side to side... I just noticed it while Rudy was practicing... talk about a sublminal message...

Nazis and Commies.

It looks like a Crucifix because it IS one.

(or at least psychoengineered to be close enough to have the warm, subcoscious connotations to a Crucifix)

Of course, Revelations foresaw the AntiChrist would fool all into believing he is a man of God, so I find this unremarkable...

3. Three - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
Oh, I think that we are seeing the Anti-Christ up close and personal.

This scares me more than anything.

4. It looks rather dumpy and bland compared to the Fleet Center setup
I guess that's no surprise.

You can watch streaming coverage of the RNC online here. Right now they're just showing a wide shot with a rather interesting sound test going on.

6. I watched a consultant on cspan a while ago who said you can tell
the attitude of the convention and of the Party by the way it's decorated. If things are upbeat and have a fancy decor, the Party and the candidates are presenting that positive and confident "feeling" as their program. If things are subdued in layout and decor'it portrays fear and the lack of confidence.

I have no idea if this guy was right or not, but he knew more about running conventions that I do, and what he said made sense.
