Poll question: How many of you will watch Bush's Acceptance Speech on Thursday night?
I can honestly say that I have not watched one complete speech by the Idiot-in-chief since he has become president. It nauseates me. I've read them afterwards or seen clips but to actually watch him.

That said, my admiration go out to people who actually do watch him and are able to relate to the rest of us wimps what lies he is telling this time.

Will you watch or not watch?

1. I can't stand the sound of his voice
He makes me want to stab sharp instruments into my ears so I can't hear him.

Plus, I don't want to see him up there trying to imitate Jesus.

14. Nah...
The whole building will be "nukular-proof," and only the closest scumbags will be admitted in.

6. can't do it
for the sake of my own mental health, I will have to read the reports here on Friday. Bush's voice are like fingernails on a blackboard and his face and posture produce a gag reflex like almost stepping into a pile a fresh puke.

8. I'd rather go on a carb-free diet
than listen to this criminal. I cringe when I hear his lying manipulative rhetoric. I am always in awh that people actually trust him.

My opinion:

As a collective; the *bush crime family is the anti-Christ. I don't think it has to be just one individual...the mission is the key.

13. nope
Darn it, I already have plans. gee shucks. Ah well, I'll have to catch the theif-in-cheif another time. I'm sure the "liberal" media will be gushing over him for at least two or three weeks, so it will get tons of air play.

Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 04:45 PM by kwolf68
My toe nails are in for a good trim....I need to clean the cat boxes...I need to go monitor the growth of the grass in my front yard.

I simply can't stomach this cretin.

Therefore, I will come in here and see what the bravehearts say about the Chimp Act.

12. I Won't Know Whether To Laugh Or Cry Or Be Angry... But I'll Watch
He's a moron clown... I want to hear him mispronounce words. I want to ridicule his mushmouth "sh" instead of "s" sounds. Iwantohearhisrunonsentences and laugh at those. I want to. Hear his stammering. Sentences that he. Can only read. Three words at. A time.

21. He will be PERFECT with his English on Thursday.
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 05:15 PM by ikojo
He has been practicing for over a week and I am sure they have transliterated difficult to pronounce words (nuclear?) for him so that he sounds literate.

He probably has taken acting classes as well so that his stage presence is good on Thursday.

Nothing about his speech on Thursday will be real that's for sure. He wont be called on it because after four days of pug BS the media will be beside themselves and appoint him savior of the American people and the world.

16. I can't stand to listen or watch him. I'll depend on DU to tell me
what this idiot said. Another reason I decided not to watch any of it is that I don't want the Pubs to gain in any ratings. You remember the Fri after the Dem convention, the media was saying there were fewer viewers this year then ever? Well, I want the Pubs to break that record and have fewer still!

19. I cannot watch any of the Repugnican National CONvention
because I am concerned about having a stroke. I will be watching some of the many DVDs I have. Star Trek TOS Season One comes out on DVD tomorrow and I should have it on Wednesday (ordered from Amazon.com) so that will keep me busy.

Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 05:15 PM by hatrack
Actually, I should say "listen" instead of watch. Watching would probably mean visiting my Republican MIL since we don't have TV, and I wouldn't want to damage her set by throwing heavy beer steins through the screen.

On edit, if impaired hand-eye skills and temporal awareness permit, I'd also like to get a stopwatch and break the speech down by content/time and # of mentions of God.

26. Yes. But like Odysseus..
I will be lashed to the mast so I don't throw anything/anyone through the TV.
I am slightly concerned that my anger levels will go so high that the Noodleboy will transform into NoodleHulk, and I will break my bonds to go on a SUV tossing rampage through the city.

It's "HELL NO!", and I'd like to put it on the table right now. I can't afford another TV if I put my foot through the one I have.
