Coburn (who I've known very well personally since 1969) the Repug, and Brad Carson who was my congressman for a while until they gerrymandered the part of the state where I live. No way would I EVER vote for Coburn for ANYTHING but I won't vote for Carson either. :grr: :grr: :grr:

1. Yeah
Carson is a "blue dog" democrat. He's as conservative as a dem can be without being a repug. Cracks me up when repugs call him "liberal" HAHAHAHAHA

4. I'm with ya, man
However, I gotta vote for him. He's one more Dem in the Senate if we can get him in there. If we can take the senate, we can chair all the committees. That's the "bigger picture" thing I'm trying to keep in mind.

3. I understand the anger
and I don't live in OK, so I don't exactly "know" the political climate, but this is a state where Bush will win 55% of the vote.

If Carson were to say, I oppose the amendment, he'd be toast. There would be no way in hell he could win.

So I say suck it up, hold your nose plugs and vote D for federal offices. I heard that Coburn believes that abortion providers should be given the death penalty. If that's the kind of choice you're facing, I don't see how there's even a question over who to vote for.

5. Interesting

We have a choice between a fanatical evangelical christian repug who probably makes his wife wear a sheet with a hole cut in it when they have sex and a conservative Dem.

I know which way I'll be going on that come November. Unbelievable others can't arrive at the same conclusion.
