Morrison thanks Dean for coming to TX and inspiring.

SNIP..."The next morning was my fundraiser. I need to give you some background about my campaign. It has been going great and I honestly believe I will defeat Tom Delay. As the campaign moves along, I see evidence that our message is working in District 22; a crowd of 600 people at the Fort Bend Democrat Club opening and hundreds of volunteers showing up to stuff mail at my campaign office. But this event was on a different level.

Governor Dean and I first did an interview for public radio in Houston, Texas. After the interview we drove to my event. As I walked into the VIP reception I was completely stunned because the room was so full that I could hardly move around. We then went to the ballroom which was filled with over four hundred people. As we walked in the room people rose from their chairs and gave us a standing ovation. I was honored and humbled by their response. Governor Dean gave another powerful speech which inspired the crowd as well as me.

Here is a pic from TX last week-end.

2. Dean is the real hero of the Democratic Party.
A true Patron Saint for Democrats.

3. And I forgot this moving paragraph....I love this guy, Morrison!
SNIP..."I assure each of you who read this posting that I will fight. I was born and raised in a Texas where Republicans did not exist. My Grandfather and Grandmother taught me what it meant to be a Democrat. My Grandfather served in WWII as an infantryman in the Pacific. He received the Bronze Star for bravery. He was mayor of Daingerfield, Texas. He was the head official in the Economic Development Administration for the Southwest under President Johnson. He was a respected member of the First Baptist Church in Daingerfield where he taught Sunday school. He doted on me and I loved and respected him more than anything. He and my Grandmother taught me that my life should be God, Family, and Service to Country. My Grandmother always told me, "you must take responsibility for your actions." They lead by example. They were Democrats. How could I not be a Democrat after the example of their lives? I will fight until my beloved Texas is back in the Democratic column. Before Governor Dean, I was committed to fighting alone if need be. Now I know that I have a great ally who will help me with the fight....."

And now I ask, when will he be considered viable enough for the party to take notice?

5. They said if he proved to be viable. Dean gives support even if not.
I believe the last I read the DSCC would consider it if he were viable.

6. That would be DCCC, not DSCC
DCCC is for Congressional candidates and DSCC is for senatorial candidates. DeLay is a US Rep. It's Trent Lott that's the senator.

8. Yep, that would be me.
He said if he can prove he's viable as far as support from donations, the party machinery would step in to help him, bigtime, in October. Frankly, I rawther LIKE the idea of helping to show tom delay the door. To the unemployment office!
