VO: Symbols, they represent the best things about America. Freedom, valor, sacrifice. Symbols, like the heroes they represent are meant to be respected. Some didn't share that respect and turned their backs on their brothers.

Kerry in 11/6/1971 "Viewpoints" interview: They've renounced the symbols which this country gives (flash) and that was the medals themselves (flash) I gave back, I can't remember, 6, 7, 8, 9.

11. Another Chance for Kerry to Blow It

There is only one good way to respond to this attack -- the Republican way.

Imagine how ANY (and all) Republican(s) would respond if one's military service or right to speak his mind was being attacked. They'd all go ballistic. They'd all go explosive. They'd all sputter in outrage. They'd all be hot and angry and insulted. They'd stand up FAST and punch the nearest Dem in the nose and say, "How dare you stoop to such underhanded tactics? How DARE you?"

And the voters would cheer them for standing up for themselves, and admire them for it.

So here's another chance for Kerry to show himself a fighter. Another opportunity to forever end all the GOP smears about his heroism, honor and leadership.

Unfortunately, it's also another chance for the Kerry Campaign to screw up bigtime with a slow, wimpy, wishy-washy response.
