Dubya has been sucking up to McCain, bringing him back into the fold. Got him at the convention praising lord high smirk.

How did he do that? What kind of promises were made? Most of us fully expect Cheney to drop out prior to the election, and most anticipate McCain to be Shrubs choice. What if, after sucking him in, smirk goes with Guilliani or someone else. McCain is now a man spurned, the repug smear machine would have no compunctions about calling anything McCain said as sour grapes. McCain, used and thrown away, and probably defused forever.
