1. I can't think of anything
but if I do, I'll start a thread on it. Don't wait real long, though.

2. He's right that you can't win a war on terror.
And the beautiful irony is that THAT one truth will be the thing that brings him down.

4. You mean by conventional military means don't you?

Why do we have to concede that we can't isolate these terrorists, change the way we interact with the rest of the world, and rally others against these violent expressions of resistance and dissent?

edit: How about catching the terrorists?

7. I wouldn't consider that a "war" at all. n/t
Thinking of it as a "War on Terror" makes it nearly impossible to address the real problem.

Calling it a War on Terror is simple-minded. Which is why it has worked so well for Bush.

I just really, really, dislike the phrase.

8. Yeah
War normally means conflict between countries or states. Herd to war against rouge operations with no known base of support. Still, I support the way that our candidate has outlined his priorities in this area by not relying on aggression alone.

3. Yesterday he told Matt Laurer that we probably can't win this war.
Then somebody said that he meant it "in a conventional sense." Well, he sure thought that we could last year.

5. No Call legislation
He signed that. It's the only damn thing he's done in 3 1/2 years I agree with.

It isn't enough.

6. Yes, he was right in 2000 when he said he would win Florida.
and he sort of did, with a lot of help from everyone except the voters.

9. Yeah, once:
You know I could run for governor but I'm basically a media creation. I've never done anything. I've worked for my dad. I worked in the oil business. But that's not the kind of profile you have to have to get elected to public office.
