Guilliani "For thirty years we did nothing about terrorism..."
That means Nixon, Ford, Reagan, George Bush #1 and #2 did nothing.

So what the hell were they clapping about?

3. Funny how Rudy forgot Kerry worked to shut down terrorists' banks while
Edited on Mon Aug-30-04 10:47 PM by blm
the GOP administrations were working to shut down Kerry's investigations.

Uh, Rudy, weren't you a US Attorney working for Reagan back then while Kerry was investigating BCCI and the covert dealings of terrorists and their government cronies who abetted them?

Was Rudy one of the GOP operatives working to cover up for the funding of terrorism?

WHY were the GOP administrations working so hard against Kerry's efforts to expose and shut down the funding of terrorism by international criminal banks? Because they and their cronies were part of the abetting of the terrorist crime networks.

5. That is our BIG PROBLEM!
No one knows about what Kerry did to shut down those banks! No one knows Rumsfeld was shaking Saddams hand while he was slaughtering women and children! No one knows the Republicans blocked sanctions against Saddam after that slaughter! No one knows Bush sat by while Saddam invaded Kuwait, and then he sat by while Saddam slaughtered Shiites after the war.

That is why a jerk like Guilliani can go on lying and lying and bigger jerks like Matthews can swoon over a "great speech".

I was optimistic when I woke up this morning. Now...I am afraid we may never be able to overcome the sheer ignorant stupidity of most Americans.

Kerry has to play the role of educator in this election, and he has to do it starting NOW!

4. Bullshit
I have reasons to **know** that is a lie. He knows better.

Why do Republicans love to lie so much?

10. DAMN RIGHT!
And the Kerry campaign had better take apart that statement from Guilliani and go over exactly what every President in those thirty years did or DID NOT do to stop terrorism, ESPECIALLY IN THE 80's, when we were SUPPORTING TERRORIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. Wrong Rudy!
The Reagan/Bush admnistration spent $3 billion in covert CIA money to arm Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
How quickly they forget!

the terrorist police thugs that victimized them.

Edit to correct: Diallo is dead because the cops shot him 44 times as he stood unarmed in the doorway of his apartment building.

15. ...and we've spent the last four poking a hornets nest and alienating the
rest of the world to the point that they're all standing around wondering if they'd even care if we go stung. Hell, I'm not sure that the Republicans even care that we are getting stung to the tune of about 1000 dead soldiers (and perhaps many more contractors) without ANYTHING to show for it.

Great way to fight terror.

There's GOT to be a better way.

16. Seems like ole Rud misspoke.
Seems I recall a series of events in Central America under Rayun...
Death squads. School of the Americas. Were they not used to fight "terra"?

Did not our first unelected Pres-Mr Ford send folks in uniform against the Mayaguez "pirates"?

Did not Nixon send troops into Cambodia to combat commie terrorists that were using that country for a "safe haven"?

Ooooooooo-I just noticed a trend here--and the RP has the franchise-not one but two unelected Presidents. We know how the latest got here. But it seems there was a little Rep hanky panky that got us the first one-yes - no?
