In defense of McCain.
I don't think that being imprisoned in Viet Nam turned him into a Manchurian candidate for communists as the whisper campaign during the 2000 primaries alleged. I think it just might have turned him into a little bitch-boy instead.

2. He admitted he is running for re-election in AZ. He needs Bush.
How pathetic. Don't know why I thought he might be different. He isn't.

5. The most decent man in the room tonight
He was there because he had to. Made his obligatory reference to shrub.

Saw him on pbs interview after and I like him better than I ever have.

7. Was he in a room by himself
I can not imagine the name McCain and the word decent used together.

I think he is a traitor.

He will do anything for power.
He has sold his soul to the devil and the devil is named BUSH.

8. A decent man doesn't allow an apponent to trash his
family and smear his name and then turn around and kiss up like McCain does. I used to respect him, but no more. He loves himself more than his family and that is not a decent man who won't stand up for his own wife and daughter. He's a nothing.

10. I saw that interview

I don't care how decent he was on PBS after the speech... He was anything but decent on that stage tonight. Peddling the old worn out democracy domino effect theory of Perle and Wolfowitz is absurd given the effects the Iraq War has had on the region. McCain can't keep trying to have it both ways. Personally I found his speech tonight to be revolting.

11. I disagree
McCain is saying exactly what the most partisan Republicans are saying, just after he says something that sounds nice. But his decision to suck up to Stupidhead. He intones that phrase "a governnnnment of Irrrraq for the Irrraqi people" almost as if it means something.

He knows that Bush's quagmire is a colossal Cheney up, but his hunger for the 2008 Republican nomination is so great, he'll sell the military down the river. We've lost a thousand soldiers there already (give or take), and if Stupidhead is re-elected, we'll lose another five or seven thousand. And McCain will greet the news with a smile.

6. His reptilian repub pals have been miffed of late. He needs this.
The Sun City Republicans have been giving him the wierd eye, that he is not of the body. This calms them so they can drive the golf carts.

13. He sure is their bitch isn't he
I'm listening to Mike Malloy and couldn't agree more that any man who praises people who trashes him, his wife and kid the way the GOP did in 2000 is a flat-out coward...

If I were Mrs. McCain I'd walk, I'd walk right the hell out on him but it's obvious she has Republican wife syndrome (kinda like battered wife syndrome) and will "stand by her maaaan" no matter how much of a sell out he is. What is with these Rethug women anyway?

15. She may be loaded, but she did an interview with
Tina Brown (I think) and she certainly doesn't look very happy. I know she just had a small stroke, but the lady looked extremely down and depressed and tired. I always liked her, but not him.
