Relax, DU
Take the next four days or so off from the news cycle. Play catch with your kids (or siblings, or parents, or whomever). Do something other than watch the rank hypocrisy that is the RNC. There are several great baseball pennant races going on. The NFL and college football seasons are around the corner. Fall is soon here, and with it school. Help out your kids with coursework.

We'll all feel better not having watched this crap. All it does is irritate and anger, and that's never good.

Peace.

4. I agree. To show how much disdain I feel for the RNC
I'm going to finish painting the shutters (6 of them) that I started last week. I even tried to watch tonight, but honestly found it to be so boring, it wasn't worth my time. Thanks for reminding me about them damn shutters.

5. argg, damn your Cardinals!!
Can't you bastards ever lose!!

Sorry, my latent Cubness showing. I heard the Birds are playing San Diego, in which case I'll be happy if ST. Louis wins big.

Side note: I got Scott Rolen to give me an autograph when I was watching the Cubs lose in St. Louis before the break. I was in full Cub regalia and he still hooked me up. Classy dude and a helluva player.

10. that's cool. I'm loving it here. Not the same without Jack Buck....but
it's still great. Staying at Union Station. Will watch them against the Padres. They just finished series against Pittsburgh. Hoping they will oblige your CUbs' wildcard race chances with a sweep.

It would be a shame to see the Cubs not get to playoffs again after last year's tremendous series.

11. I hope so
I live about a mile from Wrigley so it was a short trot to the action last October. It would be a series for the ages if the Birds and the Cubs met for a seven game showdown to determine who would go to the Fall Classic. It would be a stacked lineup against superb pitching. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

3. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is on now on HBO
Sean Connery fighting the evil Moriarty!

Change the channel. Stop watching RNC!

For those of you that are actually watching RNC, thank you for the updates. Keeps me from actually watching it!

7. I want to see it for my own reasons
There are MANY good reasons to keep tabs on this carnival of dishonesty and distortion.

It gets really angry, at least for me, watching this crap. Thankfully I'm working Wed and Thurs night.

12. Actually I thought Smirk's Opening Coronation Bombed
I was fearing a powerful opening with riveting speeches instead Hastert looked like he wanted to be somewhere else, McVain just droned on and on and Rudy spent 40 minutes bashing Kerry in a most unconvincing fashion. Another thing I noticed was that most of the Bush Shills that were interviewed talked with a rapid clip. Like they were nervous and unsure.
