Sad proof that W's negative ads do have an impact....
On one of my parenting lists, this post came through today....

"i personally think kerry is going for low blows and better watch out. he like to pull out bush's military history or lack of well he is the one in the shadows. i seen ahuge deal on him the other day and it was saying that he done t his and that and now is saying "oh no i will not" just like he did in the war. go to war and come back to protest it. he is wish washy to me."

Now, grammar and lack of education aside, I know this person and her family are HURT by republican policies and yet, she still believes EVERYTHING that the bastards say!!!

I'm betting the "hugs deal" she saw on Kerry was on Faux news.

Its things like this that frustrate me beyond my capacity for reason.

1. Oh, that burns me up.
Why in the hell is it "wishy-washy" to participate in something, and then, as your participating in it, realize that it's wrong and then try to educate other people about it? Isn't that what being born again is all about? Jayzus. Republicans never make mistakes or come to new realizations, do they?

YARGH!

2. Amazing how some people are critical of Kerry, not Bush for negative ads
Where I am in N.C. we have been swamped with anti-Kerry Bushcampaign ads plus all the coverage of the Swiftliar ads that didn't even run here while most of the Kerry ads have been positive, but yet some people here in N.C. are saying they prefer Bush because Kerry is too negative. It is so friggin frustrating.

3. keep the focus on Bush and his failures...not on Kerry
The Bush campaign knows they will lose this race BIG if the voters view it as a referendum. That is why they are trying to shift the focus onto Kerry.

This strategy won't work (unless they get extremely lucky) 2nd term elections have always been a 'yes or no' on the incumbent. But in their case, this is the only shot they have.

This helps put into perspective the motivation behind the SBVT thing. They need you thinking "Kerry, Kerry, Kerry, war, war, war, war, war, Kerry, Kerry..."
