1. Id rather be proactive and have them fighting back
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 02:45 PM by Boz
Which is what the campaign has been doing, its just perception that is behind REALITY tm.

5. But Are They Fighting Back?
Even last night Obama wouldn't use the word "lying", and today the McPalin campaign once again perpetuates her lies about the bridge!

So it seems as if they don't have anything to fight back against, as long as the Obama camp refuses to apply the lie label to them, they have no reason to fight back!

6. You don't think the choice of Palin was fighting back, thats why your missing it.
Obama/Biden had them so off their game that they had to choose a panic move. But no people miss that because they are so tied up in instant gratification.

2. I think Obama's campaign needs to modify the "Change" message
It needs to say "Fighting for Change".

4. Obama's primary run had rapid fire response to negative ads and now
it's like pulling teeth waiting for his responses.

People don't respond to Nice. Palin's speech is nasty and people are gravitating towards that. It's the Rambo mentality. John Kerry played Nice too and see what happened. Obama couldn't even directly answer KO last night that McPalin are Lying! This has me Very Worried!!!!!

15. Did Shrub attack Obama today? I know he talked about troop withdrawal and Obama responded to that.
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 03:29 PM by OmmmSweetOmmm
Very different than responding to personal attacks and lies.

7. The MSM has been cowed by the GOP; Joe Klein said it and I agree.
There have to be now negative commercials about Palin because the American people seem to have been stupefied. They need to tear her down..remember Obama was able to beat Hillary Clinton because of the baggage that she carried. No need to make negative attacks about Hillary because she was already a polarizing figure. The 527's or the Obama campaign HAVE to attack, attack, attack. Let the GOP complain about the negativity. Obama will not win if he plays nice. The Democratic Party needs to shed the image of femininity or "mariconismo" and they need to fight. I cannot believe that such a flawed candidate like McCain is kicking Obama's ass. Obama needs to get rid of his political correctness and call McCain and palin: LIARS!

12. Oh, for christ sakes - Shuster on MSNBC ...
1) Lead in, said how Palin ONCE AGAIN (SAME FREAKIN LINE, READ FROM TEXT EVERY FREAKIN TIME SHE SPEAKS) said "the bridge to no-where, I told congress, thanks, but no thanks, if we want a bridge, we will build it ourself." Shuster goes on to say, fact check.com has reported that this is not true, is this a good or bad move for Palin. In this case, it just might be, more on that later.

2) talked to a beat writer about BO going after McCain with the news that Bush is drawing down troops, SOMEHOW managed to negatively spin it into "didn't this catch the Obama campaign "flatfooted."

3) Had one one of the prototypical R skag congresswoman about Palin - brought up the LIE about the bridge to nowhwere, and how she wont' talk to the press. Let the skag use republican BS "the american people this, the american people that" then, literally, said he AGREED, this is all just politics, and (I wanted to gag myself) in this pathetically limp johnsoned way goes "people are just anxious to get to know her better" or something like that.

AND, Shuster is one of the "good guys."

Sorry, there is a CLEAR buffer between what BO's camp is going and what gets to the sheeple.

13. WE should be making THEM fight back, not vice versa
We should constantly be shaping the agenda and the discourse

and forcing rethugs to answer and fight back

WHY are we always in the 'response' mode???????????
