I think the repubs may be feeding the dems
false information in order to make us look bad later. Check out what fact check.org has to say about all the rumors. We need to be very careful not to get carried away with the rumors. Concentrate on her poor record as both mayor and governor.

1. I think you are right. Isn't that what they did to Dan Rather?

3. But the Obama campaign has not taken the bait
I don't see anything to worry about.

4. K&R --
Totally agree -- look at the Banned Book List, and it's been shown that she did NOT slash funding for special needs children, which we have been furthering and passing along.

On the other hand, it didn't seem to hurt THEM when they were spreading the lies (and continue to do so) about Obama.

Bottom line -- these stories, fact or fiction, probably won't change many minds, just reinforce the beliefs of those spreading them.

5. I'm sure of it.
I have seen posts here say that someone's son was arrested for running a meth lab. No sourcing, no link, just "I heard . . ." hoping that people would take the bait and run with it and make asses of themselves and leave themselves open to charges of slandering children or relatives with no cause but maliciousness.

If someone posts here and says "I heard . . . " or " A friend told me . . ." I would run the other way and also take note of who is throwing that kind of crap into the waters for no good reason.

I think from what is occurring lately that people have wised up. God! You'd think we would be beyond this stuff by now.

6. There's plenty of REAL stuff that needs to...
...be brought into the light, about Palin.

However, the OP is right. If we focus on the unsubstantiated stuff, they'll use
all of it to nullify any arguments against her.

They'll convince everyone that any argument against her is just part of the big
rumor mill.

I agree--stick to her record and her poor performance as gov and mayor. Those are
more than enough to destroy her.
