I Believe the Obama Campaign has Handled the Palin Selection Perfectly....
The simple truth is that the Palin VP selection was so crazy, so out of left field, so insane, and so unjustified that the Obama campaign was actually unprepared for it. I can absolutely guarantee you that when the McCain campaign dragged Palin out on stage in Ohio that Obama himself turned to Joe Biden and said, "huh?" It was so bizarre that the entire media machine had to pause for a bit, just to sort out what was true and what wasn't true. I think they're just at about critical mass. Maybe another week tops.

There is so much dirt on Palin. Pages and pages of dirt on all the lies, all the inexperience, all the worse than George W Bush beliefs, and all of the BULLSHIT that we've seen for the last eight years. It's like a gift that keeps on giving. I could write an encyclopedia on this woman now. Aside from an initial boost from women who don't understand her views yet, this election is over. In the end, the hardcore Republican views will doom her.

The Obama campaign played it perfectly. They let her come out on stage repeatedly and tell lie after lie. Their response? "Come on, this is BS, lets talk about the real issues. She's just the same." GENERIC RESPONSES. At the same time, point out she won't give more than one interview per week and we're doing 10 a day. Want our views? Want to know our history? Personal questions? Let us have it. They lightly tossed out the "lipstick on a pig" comment today. Make no mistake, they knew the McCain campaign would take the bait and say "omg he called a woman a pig!" Guess what? Calculated. Now Obama gets to give 20 explaining that he never said that and he meant the McCain campaign is just trying to put lipstick on the Bush campaign. Smart.

So, like I said, less than two weeks after the Palin selection and they've positioned themselves very well. I remember the Electoral College polling in September of 2004. It wasn't even close to as promising as this year. We're in play in so many states. It's hard for me to find a way for McCain to win this election. The national polls mean absolutely nothing. Not to mention the Obama campaign has a FAR superior ground campaign infrastructure. So what if McCain FINALLY drew 10k to a campaign event. That's so 1996.

4. I'll drink to that
He beat Hillary Clinton. I believe she is a far more formidable opponent than McCain. He isn't 'supposed' to be where he is. Now that said - when he's perceived as the under dog - he does well. Very well.
