My e-mail to Orily was just read on "The Factor"....LOL
I did enjoy the interview with the next POTUS and thought he was pretty fair and balanced. I chastised him for interruptions and jumping on Obama's answers, and also mentioned I was a proud Liberal and was very wary about the Senator appearing on his show. I then complimented him on a very good show and thanked him. I figure his impression of Liberals may improve with a little honey.

1. Good job
That is EXACTLY the kind of voice we need to be putting forward. Polite & respectful, but get the message across.

It's unfortunate that so many of the threads and post here run towards gutter talk and name calling. The moderate voters of both parties, and the independents, are only driven away by the heavily partisan attacks.

Talk about the issues and show respect and it will work every time.

6. Yes they do. But there are a bunch..
of ordinary Americans that identify with the Republican party and watch that show. What is the point in insulting them? It just keeps the bullshit flowing.

That's the first sensible post I've seen on this board, and I've been trying to read it for days now. Maybe you could help me. I watched Obama's speech, where he mentioned cutting taxes for 95%...is there a thread that discusses this issue? Something in depth, that delves into the mechanics of this promise? Thanks.

10. Well done.
See, it's not about convincing O'Reilly that liberals are actually nice people.

It's about convincing the people WATCHING.

16. Not to praise O'Reilly or anything, but that interview was the best I've seen of Obama yet
(I've only watched the first two, not the third).

Obama was challenged, and he rose to the challenge. I think Obama's comes across better in that atmosphere, where he can go toe-to-toe. In more friendly settings, it often seems like he's bored and coasting on his talent. His smarts and competence really shined through in this interview.

19. I bet he was secretly thrilled...
to get a mostly positive letter from a "lib".

One of my theories about the wing-nuts is they're secretly hurt because we don't like them. On some level their attacks on us are intended to force us to pay attention to them.
