Fired up and ready to go in rural, north central PA!
I just returned from the grand opening of the Obama campaign office in DuBois, PA. Everyone, this was truly amazing. There were about 50 or more people there and the office manager said people had been coming in and out all day. They were totally out of yard signs and I bought the last of the bumper stickers!

The manager is a paid Obama staffer and he said he was directed to try and get 40 people there today, so he was really pleased with the turn out. There were two speakers at 6:30 - a state senator and a candidate for state senate. Tomorrow there is a big rally at the Communications Workers of America union hall in a town 30 miles away. We're rural, so everything is spread out.

Just a little more good news from rural PA. There are now 47 Obama offices in PA.

3. I'll be in Bristol on Saturday
I believe I'm supposed to sign up voters and then make calls in the evening. This will be my first time there so I'm exactly sure how it's going to work out.

10. I met some dedicated fired up people tonight
Most of the crowd was middle-aged white women (like me). All of the "Women for Obama" bumper stickers were gone!

6. Hey, what part of the state are you in?
I have family and roots in Tioga county. They've always been moderate republicans.

12. West of there
I'm in Jefferson county, but the office is in Clearfield County. It's the closest office to me (30+ miles away).
