His surrogates are playing the scare card and the resolute (not stubborn) leader idea. Giuliani had the idiocy to claim Bush has vision.

Bush will push the "ownership society" meme on Thursday with a few other bright "compassionate conservative" themes. That meme has been revived too this week. He will have his little theater in the round that he has been practicing with on the stump all month.

He muffed his lines yesterday, though, when he said the war on terror can't be won.
