Good news:

My uncle, a life long Democrat, supported Hillary. When she lost he was really mad and said he was voting for McCain. He is a small business owner and yesterday a customer said, "What about Sarah Palin'? "It's about time the Republicans put a woman on the ticket" My uncle then went into a rant about how she's lying about everything. I guess he's came back home. I think it's the "Gidget" effect. See the polls last night with the bump in men.

4. I have similar news, but it's also tragic.

A cousin of my has voted Republican for his entire life. He is about ten years away from retirement, has a good job, had savings, a nice house which was completely remodeled a few years back, and it looked like he was on his way to a comfortable retirement. But his wife contracted cancer, and her treatment was of course very expensive. My cousin had to spend EVERYTHING he had in order to help her and ease her suffering. She did not make it.

My cousin now understands much that he didn't understand before all this happened. He could have retired in comfort, but now he'll probably have to work until his dying day. He is voting for Barack Obama this year.
