"The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the show's token conservative and an ardent supporter of John McCain, appeared at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul last week and spoke at an event honoring Cindy McCain. Given that "The View" is a necessary destination for the candidates and their wives this year, Hasselbeck felt qualified to explain the difference between Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama, though she avoided singling Obama out by name:
"Cindy came into our hair and makeup room, fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn't come with a list of topics that we weren't allowed to touch. Nope, that's because she has nothing to hide."

But you don't see anyone else on that panel speaking at the DNC. She's WAY too political. She's not just a viewpoint, she's a talking point. That's my big problem with her.

The other women are funny, rational, smart, dumb, liberal, conservative, religious, secular...and they have their own views. She though is practically a McCain spokesperson.

She's over the line for being on that panel. Replace her with a rational, conservative mind, not just one that spouts talking points, and has preconceptions and bias.

I don't mind hearing conservative viewpoints and having rational discussions on how to make this country better. Give me a rational, intelligent, informed conservative to have a discussion with to figure things out and it's amazing what kinds of ideas we can come up with to bring people together.

Lisa Ling was awesome when she was on The View. I'm so glad she left because she was so much better than that show. Even Debbie M (sorry I don't know how to spell her last name) kept her political views to herself. I find EH reprehensible. The show used to watchable, and still is when she is not on it.

I know they talk about what goes on backstage some. Usually it's fluff. Elizabeth took it upon herself to go to the RNC and imply Michelle was

hiding something. I thought what happened backstage was not supposed to be gossip. I guess EH wanted to score some points, but she looked sleazy.

I won't watch anymore! However, I wouldn't want to be a guest if I knew somebody might embarass me later. I know somebody in the crew could have told,

but to have a cohost do it was just wrong. I think if they moved Sherri away from Elizabeth, she would be much better. They go off on Bible tears.
