Bush is a weak President. Bush failed America. Bush ducks responsibility. The tax cuts are wasteful. Too many secrets. Bush ignores the facts. This is a dangerous administration. Bush is a sunshine patriot. The Bush White House is a country club. Bush is surrounded by cronies. Bush is two-faced. The selfish policies of the Administration are crafted by the robber barons of the energy, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries. (Whee, this is fun!)
Kerry tells it like it is. Kerry has common sense. Kerry won't back down. Kerry thinks on his feet. Kerry keeps his cool. Kerry listens to all Americans. Kerry is respected both in America and throughout the world.
We don't have the luxury of detailed, guarded explanations of our policy differences with the Republicans. In the Short Attention Span Theatre 2004, semantic shortcuts like this will have to do. They've worked for the GOP since Gingrich--even though, as they use them, they're 99% lies! Think of how well these vocabulary words will work when they're backed up by reality!
Simple words. Strong words. As it happens, honest words. Repeat them often enough, and the truth will sink in.
