It's too late this year...but there needs to be a rating icon on political ads all through the ad

Perhaps an ad has to be submitted to Factcheck.org or a bipartisan watchdog group before it airs and then the ad has to have an icon or "bug" watermarked somewhere that is all through the ad that grades the ad on accuracy.

It wouldn't be hard to do and the turnaround time to rate an ad and watermark it before it airs. The watermark could be a simple color code or a simply an A-F grade.

It has to be done! People need to know when the ads are inaccurate and perhaps it would make political ads a little better.

I've done plenty of work where an ad (print/web/video) has to go through the FDA before an ad can be printed or broadcast. You can't just submit healthcare advertising like it's snake oil and get away with it. The same should go for political advertising.
