Interesting concept on voters

This book I'm reading for my college paper is "The First Campaign"-Globalization, the Web, and the race for the whitehouse.

It's very interesting, and written by someone who was on Dean's campaign very early. Talks about all kinds of stuff, like how bad the Dem headquarters was after Clinton was out of office because know one really had to work when he was in office.


Anyway, it says we tend to blame the voters for not voting democrat (I know, I do this too, because we just can't understand it)

BUT, instead of looking at it that way look at it this way. Nike doesn't "blame" people for not buying their shoes.. they figure out why peole aren't buying their shoes and fix it. He also talked about Repubs shortening their message to six words of what they are about.

Dems need to do this. They need to find their "appeal". Obviously talking about the issues don't work. There are thousands of people in the US today that couldn't even name the Vice President's name. Not everyone is like us and actually keeps up with politics.

We have to get out message out to those types of people, and until we do we are going to lose. The dems have to market better, They need to steal the plays from Karl Rove before he even thinks them. He says the dems are way better about using the internet for their platform, fundraising. We should of had this election in the bag. I still believe that the repubs ran McCain because he is one of their weakest (that I don't think they even want to be prez) because they didn't have anyone strong enough to go against Obama.

Just somewhere in all this mess, the stupid people woke up and are getting told B.S. again and are falling for it.
