The bandaid thing: who needs Dem strategists when Pub's hang selves?
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 02:27 PM by AP
I am stunned by those pictures of those fuckers wearing those bandainds.

It's such a terrible move, politically. It's so stupid. What are they thinking?

If you get shot at defending your country and you only get nicked or you lose an entire limb, or your life, you deserve a medal and the eternal admiration of your country. Hell, you deserve that if the bullet missed you by 50 yards.

To wear those bandaids is an insult to every American who has served in the armed services, and to everyone with a family member or friend who has served.

Republicans don't support the troops. They exploit the troops.

2. I don't get your original question.
Was it just to draw attention to your thread?

I do agree with all that you wrote in your post. God, I hope it destroys them.

11. Yep!
Just what I suspected. Ha Ha! I don't mind sharing your rant at all.

Hey did you see the other thread - "Have they no shame?" where the lady put together the photo expose? I am printing those to leave laying around in whatever good places I can find.

10. Karl Rove is not a moron.
He's an evil genius on par with Darth Vader. This stupid bandaid "gag" is below him. The things he's plotting in his shiny, bulbous head right now we won't know about until after the fact. When he fucks people, he fucks them through intermediaries so that nothing can be traced directly to him. I'm certain he had a hand in the Swift Boat ads, but it's impossible to prove. That's how good he is, and how dangerous. But he's not a moron.

18. He's totally underserving of the "genius" title...
even if you're tacking "evil" onto it. He's just evil and slimey. He's not fooling anyone about where the evil ideas originate. And he's made enough enemies that surely his deeds will come back to haunt him.

12. This will only hurt them if it becomes an issue.
Like the "politicizing" of the Wellstone funeral. So, what needs to happen is for everyone who is outraged by this to contact media, write letters to the editor, and talk to everyone you know about it. They're trying to brush it under the rug. Don't let them.

And when it comes time to decide between a tax cut for Bush's wealthy supporters and money for Vets who do you think will get the shaft?

19. And when it comes to Vet health care, they'll just give them a Band-aid...
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 02:29 PM by AP
...instead of fully funding VA hospitals (that would compete with private for-profit health care, like the kind that Bill Frist's family fortune is built on).

20. Tunnel Vision
To them, it was just about Kerry. The fact they can't see the bigger picture is frightening to me. These are not the visionaries I want leading my country, because they vision is too narrow and short-sighted.

by appealing to people's worst instincts: the foot soldiers do incredibly stupid things.

That's why it's so much better to appeal to people's best instincts rather than their worst instincts.

Do you think a Democratic foot soldier is ever going to take the idea of good public eduction too far? Uh uh.
