I am outraged at voting in Florida today!
This may sound petty to some, but I always looked forward to getting my little sticker that says I voted! I was proud to wear it all day. But Now it says I voted touchscreen! & that really pisses me off!

I refused the sticker & I told the person why, I don't like touch screen voting with no paper trail.

1. I know - I got the same damn sticker
I crossed out the part that said touchscreen. How was turnout? In my precinct it was incredibly low even though we have a nasty school board election.

5. Turnout was very good,
Which is bad I Live in a Republican stronghold.

I think one reason is high voter turnout is a corrupt sheriff some are trying to get rid of. No democrats running for sheriff. The only thing I got to vote for today was to non partisan school board seats & The Senate seat, everything here where I am at was all votes for Republicans.

9. Same here - I'm in Naples.
My only votes were for Senate and against a ring wing fundie trying to get on the school board. Our turnout was very light, I saw page after page of blank signature lines.

4. a "wifebeater" sticker
someone on a different thread talked about the "wifebeater" question -- How often do you beat your wife?

Isn't it funny that the election office thought they would get everyone who votes to approve of voting by black box with a clever sticker.

6. That is just blatant Jeb propaganda
so that people will be more accepting of touch-screens come November. I voted via optical scanner, so my sticker just says "I voted".

7. They may as well hand out truthful stickers:
I voted today
on touchscreens

The hackability is so modern,
so excellent,
I may never know if my vote counted.

8. I voted in Palm Beach County today and those poll workers have no
sense of humor. When I handed the guy my card after voting and told him to make sure my vote got counted, he was pissed. Must have been a Repub.

Also, I was speaking with a woman passing out candidate flyers in the parking lot and she said that a woman tore up her flyer because she won't vote for anyone who doesn't have their religious affiliation on their literature. Is this scary, or what???

There were only a few people voting, but the old guys tending the lines said that it had been busy all day.

Hope everyone votes that bitch LaPore out of office - but she's running this election - so what do you think the chances are of that happening?

10. Things are going well in Alachua Co.
the folks at the poll said they had a steady stream all day. We are mostly Democratic around here, so that is good.

Plus we had a pretty full ballot.

We use paper ballots and optical scanners. When they handed me my ballot, I said fairly loud, "Gee, a paper ballot, what a concept". I got a chuckle from a few people.

13. Voted for what, or for whom? Was it a special election or what?
Florida had its primaries last February, I thought, and then it is going to vote with the rest of us in the November general elections, is it?

17. I got my "I Voted" Sticker
I live in Broward and instead of voting by touchscreen-I voted absentee. The sticker was mailed with the ballot.
I encourage everyone who has touchscreen voting, to vote absentee.
