Why the reps have the house, senate and presidency...
I've come to this realization... the repubs win because of the strongest of all human motivators - greed. It is extremely hard to overcome people who are so driven for wealth and power. They will do or say anything to maintain or increase their positions of superiority. It’s going to have to come to the point of the masses tiring of continued repression and finally revolting before there is any change in this country. Sadly, I’m just not sure if enough of the ‘masses’ are there yet.

1. Greed and Stupidity
Greed and the stupidity of their supporters. And let's not forget lying, hypocrisy, and the use of religion, not belief just the use.

2. Well, sort of.
But that doesn't explain why people without two quarters to rub together vote against their own interests to elect them.

3. Obviously they
don't think they are voting against their own interests. Don't ask me to explain it.

5. They're broke and screwed - but somehow feel safer with dumbya.
I expect a good deal of his supporters are small minded just like him - they fear anything that is unfamiliar to them. There are a lot of folks who've never met a foreigner and think they're all terrorists.

bush feeds this fear and wins because of it.

7. Read "What's the Matter with Kansas"
if you have not already done so - it helps one understand the morons who live in the midwest. Oops, its my family.

8. Those are the same people who will spend their last 4 quarters..
on a lottery ticket. They believe that they too will be rich someday. Despite the fact that the chances of an average worker in America becoming rich is only slightly better than their chances of winning the lottery.

4. They have the media so that their interests are the only ones discussed.
They totally control the spectrum and content of debate. Until we just stop subsidizing and listening to their speakers it will continue.

6. I believe stoled them...with very questionable voting practices, and
mystery deaths, and slimming every dem they can. This has been planned for, for many, many years. The taking of our country.
