we need bandaids that look like the medal Bush didn't win
but was shown wearing the the photograph Walt Starr found.

Or better still, the "medal" or something that looks like it. Someone asks what it is you can tell them its a distinguished award Bush wears but didn't win so I guess we can all wear them!

1. The band-aids should say AWOL, or should show the
chickenhawk medal I have seen posted here.

4. No, because it is a trademark infringement
...and the makers are probably going to pimp slap the purple heart crew real quicklike.

Have a look at the other threads that have been contacting bandage makers all day ....

We gotta keep it legal.

7. that's silly
There is no trademark infringement unless you call them by a trademarked name (band-aids, for instance.) You can buy custom printed bandages, you can probably buy custom printed Band-Aids. I don't get what the fuss in the other threads are about.

Trust me, it's legal.

9. If one uses J&J or Curad or 3M products
and alter them without the comapny's permission to make it look like it's 'the original product' and distribute or sell it - which metrospy intends to do - it's trademark infringment and it's illegal.

I USED TO WORK IN TRADEMARK LAW, TRUST ME.

12. important to note that that's because bandaids are so distinctive...
...and that it's a close call whether that's the case. If all band-aids look alike, and you personalize one of the many kinds, there's no infringment. Eg, Haines can't sue you if you print your logo on their white T-shirt and sell them. You're even allowed to mention that it's a Haines T-shirt. What you can't do is call it the "Haines Purple Heart" T-shirt in a way that suggests that Haines is selling the shirt.

15. Ummm, you people are missing the point: it's INJURY related
the bandaid thing indicates a small injury.

What we need is something mocking W's lousy performance as president.
