Print out these medals Bush never got from the Texas Air National Guard
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 06:16 PM by zulchzulu

Left:
Texas Govt Code 431.134 Para 1
Texas Faithful Service Medal

Right:
Texas Govt Code 431.134 Para 5
Texas State Guard Service Medal

Print them out and stick them on anybody you want. Heck, who cares what medals are for, yunno.
(Insert fat, drunk Republican laughter here)

These medals are on Bush and his neat photo. Too bad he never earned the medals...but hey, don't he look great!

1. By George, I think I've got it

If I understand Walt Starr correctly, Bush should have gotten these awards just for showing up--one after three years of satisfactory service, the other after five.

If we could make replicas of THOSE awards as pins or stickers or buttons, then we could explain to people, "These are replicas of the medals Bush should have received just for completing his TANG duties. They do not appear on his service record, which means that he must not have showed up."

Gotta go search for Walter's thread.

5. Those ribbons don't come close to the ribbons in the Bu$h picture.
Look at the stripes and the contrast. Not even close. Match the ribbons before you post.

6. The ones in Bush's pic
don't look like the ones posted at top of message. Should they? Or am I missing something.

8. The medals DON'T match. That's the point.
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 09:50 PM by rocknation
That's why I checked back with Walt Starr's original thread. The medals at the top of this thread (which match Walt's) are the medals Bush WOULD have received if he had indeed served honorably. But they aren't on his military record--and they aren't on his uniform in the photo (only one of which is accounted for). So let's put 'em on buttons and T-shirts and signs and ask, "Where WERE you, George?"

On edit: Walt's original thread won't come up in the search, but here is the archived home page thread. Read it and weep.

9. Read these two threads, and you'll be all caught up, LOL!
OMFG!!! * was awarded NO Texas National Guard Medals!!!

George W. Bush Wore a Ribbon He Did Not Earn

It all started out innocently with a DU-er who decided to do a side-by-side comparison of Bush and Kerry's medals. He downloaded copies of Bush's miltary records and noticed there was only one listed, but in a photo that Poppy allegedly has in his home, he wears two. So he started doing a little research...

10. You've got things a little mixed up.

In the photo, Bush is wearing the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon (SAEMR) and the Air Force Outstanding Unita Award (AFOUA). The SAEMR id listed fairly consistently through shrubbie's records; the OFOUA is listed nowhere in his records. (That's Walt's main point - he's wearing a ribbon he did not earn.)

Zulchzulu also posted graphics of two awards Bush could have gotten but did not - the TFSM and TSGSM. I'm pretty sure Bush should have gotten the TFSM, had he not been shipped off to rehab and stopped serving. I'm not so sure about the TSGSM, though.

I am STILL waiting for some one to explain to me why the box below from Bushie's ANG-22 contains the acronyms that it does.

13. He was never eligible for the TSGSM

The Texas State Guard is an unpaid volunteer force. It's sort of like a State Sanctioned Michigan Militia.

Found that out several days after I discovered those medals.
