Protesters blocking buses with delegates

I'm streaming...
Radio station reporting...
Near 35th and Broadway.
I can hardly here the stream.
Lots of people getting arrested
I'll try to post as much as I can.

31st and 5th - protesters ran into the street being chased by cops.
The protesters have been told to stay on the side walks.
Yelling "whose streets, Our STREETS"
For a time they were blocking the buses getting in to MSG

Protesters were "reclaiming the streets" around the Garden.
Delegates having trouble getting in.
Police being violent.

Stream: Cop just took a kid, threw him on his face and threw him in a paddy wagon.

Crowd started screaming at the delegates that were trying to get into the MSG

Said that there is plenty of media there taking pictures.
Said if it's not on TV, it's not because pictures and reports are not being made.

Crowd saying again and again: These are OUR Streets.

Medics are needed at 27th and Park Ave.

Using pepper spray near MSG

8. Coverage

<snip>

NEW YORK - Police wrapped demonstrators and an entire midtown Manhattan block in orange netting Tuesday to control anti-GOP protests, arresting more than 270 people across the city as activists massed in the streets for a march to the site of the Republican convention.

Streaming: The link is very strong right now.
People are still being arrested.
Maybe 60 - 80 arrested.
Still crowd moving around.

Call from West Village
His text stopped getting messages about two hours ago.

Next call:
Matt Meyers on 33rd between Broadway and 35th
Delegates are being booed as they walk through
About a crowd of 300
General mood: Chanting/telling cops to go on strike, lots of booing
Sounds rather noisy to say the least.
Noise cut out...

News again:
Telling delegates to go home

Reports of some fires on Park Ave.
Police are closing off streets around Union Square

Crowd is very vocal at the moment still booing

Caller: 17th and 5 from someone at the National Lawyers Guild
50 -60 people were penned in and arrested for "Disorderly conduct"
