4. Today's Republican Party
The Party where actors, preachers, and AWOL neer-do-wells provide leaderhip on the issues. Any wonder why this country is in such a mess?

5. All fluff so far. They haven't mentioned anything of substance
and that will continue right up until his Holiness Bush accepts his crown.

6. Compare The Two
Is it obvious why more and more people are shifting to Kerry's side?

The biggest story on the opening night of the Republican convention was Michael Moore getting booed and the purple hearts. At the democratic convention, the greatest president of my lifetime (OK, so he was the ONLY democratic president of my lifetime) gave a great speech.

The second night? The republicans promote compassion with a man who gropes women and a woman who has killed an innocent human being. The democrats had the biggest up and coming politician give one of the most inspiring speeches I've ever heard.

This doesn't stop me from worrying (I keep thinking of The Onion's article, "My Vote Cancels Out Ya'lls"), but it makes it so I can sleep at least.

7. Republicans? Avoiding the issues?
I'm shocked. Never would have guessed they would do this. ;-) Economic girly men is all I've heard, which to the best of my knowledge means being realistic about the economy.

9. Nothing of substance
They have so little to say they don't dare say anything for fear of upstaging BoyGeorge Thursday night. Figure if they put it all in five minutes of Georgie's one hour speech it will sound like more.
