Letter to a Republican CEO relative: Why vote Republican?
Dear______:

>Let’s see now for the past eight years of Republican rule,
there are now the
fall of Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, Fannie Mae, Freddie
Mac, an unabated surge
in home foreclosures, historically high unemployment rates,
ex-Federal Reserve head
Allan Greenspan (Republican) stating that we can’t afford the
kind of corporate
tax cuts McCain is promising, the dollar at such an all-time
low that it’s worth
less than the Canadian dollar leading governments the world
over to look to the
Euro to replace the dollar as the standard, billions of
dollars in national debt
after Clinton left us with a surplus, Enron, World.com, high
gasoline prices, and
to top it off, McCain admitting that “I don’t know as much
about economics as perhaps
I should”. Is Sarah Palin, noted moose hunter, champion of
abstinence-only teen
sex education (despite the fact that this policy is a
miserable failure in her own
home), the one who would ban certain books from the local
library, someone who denies
that man may in any way be responsible for global warming, and
of course, a person
who believes that the war in Iraq is a “task from God”, is she
our savior in the
event that computer-illiterate John McCain should fail to live
out his term? If
I find that a little hard to believe – understandably, I hope
- tell me, oh wise
Republican CEO, why I should vote Republican? Is it solely
because somehow you
clingingly believe any Democrat would be worse, or do you have
a more convincing
response? I’m pretty sure the reason to still vote Republican
is not because you’re
an evangelical, or think that everyone should carry a gun, and
certainly not because
you harbor racist thoughts, so again I ask, why vote
Republican? Wait, I think
I know the answer, they broke it and only they can fix it.
>
Sincerely,

1. I'd ask any
Republican the same questions.

What a mess we are in but being talked about is how Sarah Palin is an outdoors woman and how that will make a difference to voters in the west.

Maybe she can make up all a big pot of moose stew to feed the people who've lost homes and jobs.
