You can hear it in their voices. Remember how they all sounded after the Obama speech? You don't hear or see nearly the excitement or praise that you heard after Obama spoke...even from his opposition.

Go have a drink...America has seen the enemy and it is them!

4. Don't forget ZELL! Tomorrow night I think..
The funny thing is that the two "stars" weren't even on Prime Time Mainsstream on Mon. I guess some of the local feeds aired them, but most of the country not watching cable couldn't see them I think thats pretty funny!

3. I think the same of last night's escapade,
I think they portrayed an artificial excitement, if any at all. The DNC will be a hard act to follow.

6. They're disappointed because they...
... didn't hear enough blather about the social issues they care about (abortion, gay marriage, war, terrah, terrah, war. godless heathens).

Since Repuglicans have hijacked the right, invited them into the "big tent," the right now thinks they own the party. Those are the delegates who are disappointed. They wanted fire and brimstone, and got flaming assholes, instead. 20% of the voters think they run policy for the country--hope Rove is happy with his strategy.

Just what they deserve. Hope the disgruntled will vote for Buchanan as a write-in.

9. that's what struck me last night...
"20% of the voters think they run policy for the country"

They also have some sick proprietary claim on 9/11, patriotism, the flag, and the words "USA." As if the rest of the people occupying this soil are squatters. I was especially convulsed by the Bush delegates who spoke on MSNBC's late night wrap-up show. Four of them gushed about the 9/11 family members last night, and of being in NY... as if Ground Zero were some tourist target for Bush Worship - the Mecca of Republicanism. "And I was so excited to hear about Mayor Guiliani's wonderful experiences!" IN HIS SPEECH? About 9/11??? I thought I was going to vomit. It's as sickening as it is SICK.

12. Important to remember that 20%...
... of the voters is about 10% of the population. The last figures I remember seeing is that Republicans are 39% of the registered voters, and that the religious right represents about 40% of that number, and that there are about 75-80 million disenfranchised citizens, so the religious right, in terms of raw numbers, is hardly a majority, even though they act as if they are.

Their power has been much inflated by the party in control at the present. They can't be convinced they are wrong on the issues, and they don't want to accept being relegated to their actual minority status. The only way to marginalize them is to energize that large pool of non-voters, and that will require changes in strategy and policy on the part of the Democrats.

Cheers.

10. Chris Matthew
Was bubbling over about how Guiliani gave one of the most inspiring speeches of ALL time and then said that if you truly want to hear an inspiring story about America, make sure you hear Arnold.

Is he bi-polar or something?

16. The thing that irks me about Matthews
is that recently I saw him state that he is there to provide balance. He used the DNC convention as an example, that he and Fineman were 'the left'.

So...I figured he'd still be providing the 'balance' during the RNC. From the limited few minutes I've spent watching him on MSNBC, there are MAYBE ONE 'left' voice on the panel...and it ain't him! It's infuriating!!!

I stopped watching cable news during the DNC because I felt the bias was overt. Switched to CSPAN and looked forward to watching the cable news during the RNC with the bias in reverse. But, no sale! It ain't happening!!

20. It was too much
during the DNC to stomach watching the cable news.

I envy that you and your wife are watching together. :) Hubby's not as 'passionate' as I am.

11. Did you see the shots where they panned the audience during
the female Shrub speech, everyone looked uninterested and flat. I remember the speeches from the DNC, people were nodding in agreement, tears were flowing, the place was rocking with music. This convention is flatline.

15. Please explain
Why did Kerry vote for the $87 billion the first time?
Why did he vote against it when it came up again?

And why did Mr. Bush threaten to veto it? Use complete sentences, please.
